Alesha Jernas from Pinnacle Insurance Group of Indiana, Inc. in Hobart is the winner of the 2015 IIAI Distinguished Customer Service Award. The award is presented annually at the annual Independent Insurance Agents Convention in Indianapolis in memory of Ethel Heckman, IIAI’s Director of Administration from 1948 to 1983. The criterion of this award recognizes an employee of a member agency who demonstrates loyalty, dedication to the achievement of results and continued professional growth in the servicing of the agency’s clients.
Alesha is a commercial lines customer service agent with Pinnacle Insurance Group. She is currently completing her CSRM (Certified School Risk Manager) designation and plans to work towards her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation next. She is responsible for day-to-day servicing, claims, communication, quoting, and correspondence on commercial accounts.
Alesha believes that in order for an independent agency to be successful, it’s important to have the right group of employees; they need to be willing to work as a team and put the customer first. She also thinks agencies should be involved with both their local communities and insurance associations. Alesha said, “I truly love my job and helping people!”
Pinnacle Insurance Group of Indiana was recently featured on episode 103 of Money $ense, when host Anthony Contrucci sat down with agency President, Mark Bates, to talk about four areas of personal insurance: Auto, Homeowners, Personal Property, and Umbrella Policies. Mark discussed the basics of each category and also shared a few facts not commonly known, such as improving your credit score to lower your premium, what to do if your child’s vehicle is co-titled when they head off to college and take the vehicle with them, and several others.
